    The short version: Fit For Them stores your plan data securely on your device and in the cloud so it persists across sessions. We use Stripe for payments — your card details go directly to Stripe, not to us. We use a device identifier cookie to sync your data. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you beyond what's needed to run the app.
  

1. Who We Are

Loftin Method LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates the Loftin Method nutrition and meal planning app at fitforthem.app. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

Your full name or home address
Your precise location or IP address
Your credit card or payment details (these go directly to Stripe)
Any account credentials or passwords
Advertising identifiers or third-party tracking data

3. Data We Store

Fit For Them stores the following information on your device and on our secure cloud servers (Netlify) to keep your data safe across sessions:

Your plan — height, weight, calorie targets, phase, step goals
Weight log — your daily weigh-in entries
Meal preferences — protein swaps, custom meals, skipped meals
Your name — first name only, used for the personalized greeting
Work mode — office or work from home preference
Subscription status — active, trialing, or canceled — to verify app access

A device identifier cookie (fft_device) is stored on your device to associate your data with your plan across sessions. This identifier is anonymous — it contains no personal information.

Note: Your data is backed up to our secure cloud servers so it persists even if your browser clears local storage. This is especially helpful on iOS devices where PWA storage can be cleared unexpectedly.

3a. Waitlist

If you join our waitlist, we collect your first name and email address. This information is stored securely on our servers and is used only to notify you of updates. We do not share it with any third party and you can request removal at any time by emailing [email protected].

3b. Payments & Stripe

Fit For Them uses Stripe to process subscription payments. When you subscribe, your payment details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout — Fit For Them never sees or stores your credit card information.

Stripe may collect your email address, payment details, and billing information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We receive only your subscription status from Stripe.

4. AI Features & Data Transmission

When you use AI-powered features (Eating Out, What's in My Fridge, Food Search, Drink Lookup, Barcode Scanner, Grocery Store Mode), your request is sent to our server which then contacts Anthropic's AI service to generate a response.

What is sent to generate AI responses:

Your calorie target and meal budget for the current request
The restaurant name, food item, or ingredients you entered
The day of the week (for protein rotation recommendations)
Your protein preferences (chicken, steak, fish)

What is NOT sent:

Your name, weight, or personal details
Your weight log or progress history
Any information that could identify you personally

Anthropic processes these requests according to their own privacy policy. We do not store the content of AI requests or responses on our servers.

5. No Advertising

Fit For Them does not display advertisements and does not share any data with advertising networks or third-party marketers.

6. No Data Sales

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to any third party, ever.

7. Children's Privacy

Fit For Them is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this App, please contact us at [email protected].

8. Security

Your plan data is stored both on your device and on Netlify's secure cloud infrastructure. Netlify is SOC 2 Type II certified. Your device identifier cookie contains no personal information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which maintains PCI DSS compliance.

We recommend securing your device with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to protect locally stored data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

10. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete your plan data from our servers and remove your waitlist entry if applicable. Data stored locally on your device can be cleared through
